This is a list of upcoming and ongoing projects. If you have any ideas or changes please let us know. Check back regularly to see where you can help! |

Please clip any and all coupons and send them to military families overseas. There are also coupons at the stores (you know those obnoxious red boxes that stick out in the aisles!) Make sure you total your coupons so we can get credit for them! Go to OCPNet.org for info on how to participate or bring your coupons to the post and drop them in the box in the entryway. We’ve sent over $20,000 worth of coupons so far—so keep up the good work! Please bring the coupons to the post before they expire. |
VFW National Home can use those box tops and soup labels (they count as money!) There is a list up at the post so double check to make sure you aren’t throwing money away! Or go to Soup Labels or Box Tops for more information. Once you have clipped those labels and box tops, bring them to the post and deposit them in the box in the entryway. |

Project List |

THANK YOU
For helping to support the Ladies Auxiliary and all of the projects that we are working on this year. With your help this can be the best year ever! |
Please remember to keep track of time, money, and mileage spent for any projects you are involved in. We report this information to Department and it helps us win awards. |
Free Samples |
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for free samples from various sources, like Walmart.com, Walgreens.com, or Costco.com. Those free samples add up and can be used for Patient’s Day Out and as USO donations. |

Remember to check back regularly to see where you can help. Remember to check the calendar to see what events are scheduled. |
If you do any community service, please make sure you document it on a form and give it to any Auxiliary Officer. We can’t give credit for your good deeds if we don’t know you do them. So toot your own horn, and help us to prove what a great Auxiliary we are, and how much we help our post, veterans, and community! |

Back to School Supply Drive |
We are accepting donations of school supplies. Each year thousands of kids return to school with nothing. With these tough economic times, those numbers are only going to grow. Our aim is to help. With each pencil and package of paper we donate, we are giving a child hope. Please see Peggy for a list of items needed. |
Make a Difference Day Project |
The food pantries are especially bare this time of year. For our Make a Difference Day Project we are doing a canned food drive for the Mission Arlington. We are offering an incentive to bring those canned goods in: $1.00 off the cost of the Ladies Auxiliary Friday Night Dinners. From August—October bring a canned food item and receive your discount. You can also bring canned items to the monthly meetings. |
District Basket Items |
This years basket theme is “Americana”. We are putting in items that are red/white/blue. We want items to decorate a home/yard. Whether it’s a blanket, plaque, or welcome mat, all Americana items will be greatly appreciated. Please turn in your items to Amy or Peggy before January 1, 2010. Help us make this years basket even better than our awesome basket last year! |

Movies for Fisher House |
Fisher House needs donations. They have movie nights and would like to stock their cabinets with movies that the families can enjoy. Kellogg’s and Keebler have specially marked packages with tokens for free movies. Please bring in those tokens so we can order movies for Fisher House. Please see Amy or Peggy for more information. Tokens need to be brought in before they expire. |
